Being a durable building material Fydro glassfibre-concrete is also pre-eminently suitable for noise-barriers. Fydro supplies panels in big sizes and with several surface-structures and colours. Also the aesthetics are important with eye-catching objects in the environment.

How we work
Fydro supplies her products to various markets. Most times as an end product but sometimes also as semifinished product. A good example of the latter are the noise-barriers. We are no noise-barrier manufacturer but do produce glassfibre-concrete elements which are used as noise-barrier panel.
An example?
For instance for the High Speed Train Route at Prinsenbeek along the A16 motorway in Holland we delivered thousands of m² of Fydro-panels as noise-barrier. With a thickness of appr. 2 cm the panels meet up with weight standard of 40 kg/m² to be sufficiently sound-proofing. Moreover, based on the high quality of the Fydro glassfibre-concrete it proofs from study by the MPA in Stuttgart that the expected life span is at the least 50 years.

Mounting
Mounting
The mounting of the panels for noise-barriers depends strongly on the mounting-system that is chosen by the client. A great advantage of the Fydro-panels is that with a thickness of appr. 2 cm they have the same sound-proofing capacity as glass. In this way the combination of glass and concrete-panels becomes possible while the same mounting-system can be maintained.
The placing of the panels can be realized by the use of a selfclosing clamp or with vacuum suction cups. When using suction cups it is advisable to apply an anti-graffito coating beforehand, so that the suction cups do not leave an impressions on the panels.
Because of the low weight of the glassfibre-concrete the handling is quick and easy.
